This question is for Easterners that have visited Texas?
Were you surprised by what you observed when you arrived here? Did you expect to see people wearing cowboy hats, riding around on horses, gathering in saloons, and carrying six-shooters? Were you shocked when you realized the landscape here is mostly prairie rather than vast desert with ubiquitous sand and cacti? Were you baffled when you visited a major city discovering it was comprised primarily of gl, steel, concrete, freeways, traffic lights, and whatnot? Was it a rude awakening when you noticed omnipresent live oak, cypress, magnolia, cedar, juniper, bluebonnets, and pine trees and several squirrels, raccoons, possums, bobcats, owls, alligators, crickets, mosquitoes, and coyotes? Or were you indifferent to all these phenomena? What was your initial reaction?
