If you pay off a loan on a car, will it only appear on some credit bureaus or all of them?

i paid my car off in a year and i thought i would have really good credit, so i waited a little to apply for a credit card and everyone i have applied to, which is basically everyone possible, has denied me. i asked for a free credit report and there is nothing about my car loan on there whatsoever. i called the loan place i was with and he told me that the loan only shows up on certain credit bureaus....that makes no sense....shouldnt it show up on everything. my mom was the co signer for me too s idk if that made a difference or not. this is rediculous.
