I'm nothing like my birth chart yet my friend's are acccurate, how is this possible?

I never believed in astrology because I thought one day some guy sat down and made up 12 signs and wrote a bunch of stuff to describe them at random. I've been looking at a friend's chart and it's so like him it's unreal. (And I don't have his TOB!) I have my Time of Birth. I'm a Virgo supposed to be super organized, have all these great qualities and I'm nothing like that. My chart says $ comes easily to me, nothing could be further from the truth. I'm also not like my negative traits. I do have negative traits but they're not those listed and neither are my good qualities. So what gives? Is astrology accurate or a bunch of nonsense? Why would it be so on the mark about my friend? I mean it's so him, it's spooky! Or does my chart reflect what I was supposed to be had I not gone thru the hellish environment I grew up in? Any clues? I've tried different astro sites and people have done my chart in the past, it's always the same. Moon in Gemini. Leo Rising.
