Question about acrylics ?

so when ifirst got my set put on igot clear tips & ialways just get them filled and painted when igo back to the nail place .. but iwant to try a french manicure . so could they do french manicure on my clear tips or would ihave to get the ones ihave taken off and get a new set of white tips put on ?
